Cancun, Mexico

Ritz Carlton

Cancun is a beautiful Caribbean city located in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. A few months after visiting US Virgin islands and Puerto Rico, we got an opportunity to visit Mexico for 4 days/nights. We chose Cancun for its beautiful coast line, excellent hotels and some of the best scenery anywhere in the world.

We flew from San Diego to Cancun visa Dallas. Reached there in the evening and checked into the luxurious Ritz Carlton Cancun. We stayed here for 3 nights. Every room here has ocean views and the beach outside the hotel is stunning.

The last day at Ritz was well spent lazing around on the beach, drinking Virgin Pina Colada and lemonades and building castles with Nidhi. We completely unwinded in this gorgeous setting and didn't want to leave!

Finally we headed back to San Diego with refreshed Caribbean memories and the memories of authentic Mexican food.

My son stays at SFO and we are in Bangalore. We intend to visit SFO and Mexico. If my son books flight tickets whether he will get points and whether these points can be used to book hotel rooms at Mexico. Can you guide us how to accumulate points and using for booking flight tickets and rooms.

Here is a link to detailed information on how me make points and how to use it to book flights and hotels: Traveltips . The flexible currencies/points section of the Traveltips page answers your question. You can book rooms of all those hotels which participate in reward programs like Marriott Rewards, Best Western Rewards Club, IHG, spg, World of Hyatt, Hilton honors etc.
