Prince of Wales Waterton, Canada

A colonial Era hotel on a lush green hill, overlooking a huge lake and surrounded by craggy snow capped moutains; Prince of wales hotel is all this and more!

We stayed here for 2 nights when we were exploring waterton lakes national park in Canadian Rockies.

Our trip from Athabasca /Glacier View Inn to Waterton was scenic. We faced a thunderstorm on the way with heavry rain. The clouds, haystacks and lush green fields presented a serene picture!

The waterton town is nearby. The room had amazing lake views .The rooms were not overtly luxurious but views more than made up for it.The hotel also serves british style, high tea or afternoon tea with cookies, desserts and sandwiches. The restaurant overlooks the lake too.

During the night the moon light reflection on the lake was magical!

The views of the hotel from lakeshore are stunning and so are the sights from bearhump mountain nearby.
